How to play the Concentration Game
Playing the Concentration Game requires a little prior preparation. If you’re playing with younger groups or older people, be sure to give them a little more time in steps 1 and 2. This is a great game to help train their memories and keep their minds active.
Step 1: To play the Concentration Game, you’ll first start with separating your players into groups of equal numbers. If you don’t have enough players to form groups, they can all play against each other instead.
Step 2: Set 30 seconds or more on the clock and show your players a series of words. They must try to remember as many words as possible during this period. Once their 30 seconds are up, cover the words. Allow your players some time to concentrate on their memory.
Step 3: Give your players a minute or more and start the timer. The players must then try to write down as many words as they can remember from the group of words they have seen earlier. The group or person who remembers the most words correctly will win.
Different ways to play the Concentration Game
The Concentration Game is fun no matter who you decide to play it with. Here are some different ways you can add a twist to it:
- Add a theme: If you’re hosting a party that revolves around a certain theme, you could use the theme as the general theme to the series of words. For example, you can feature different seasonal words if it’s a Christmas party or congratulatory messages if it’s a bridal party.
